Last night

We all slept really well last night. We kept James' morphine up through the night and switched him back over to tylenol with codeine this morning in the hopes that we have the pain under some control. So far he seems to be doing really well. He woke up and wanted to nurse and actually did great...definitely the best nursing he's done since he started chemo. Then he ate about 2 ounces of yogurt and we mixed some more into some milk and gave that to him through his tube. He was also about to tolerate a whole normal night tube feeding (400ml). He is now sleeping comfortably in his crib.

I've been watching sunrise over Lake Superior which has been a special treat. Now I'm off to enjoy some quiet time. Thank you so much for praying.

Love, Stephanie

PTL for answered prayer. For some reason :*) I woke up around 2 a.m. and just prayed for James and pain control until I conked out again. Was tickled when I read your morning blurb.

Except for the circumstances you're there - the views, scenery, from the windows sound wonderful.

Love you - BIG HUGS for James & Owen

Thanks so much Steph for keeping up this blog. It is so comforting to all of us to hear from/about the goings on, especially since we can't be there.

It has been a good thing for me to do this. It helps me remember things that are happening that I would likely forget and to keep my perspective right. I'm glad it is helpful to family and friends who love James and want to keep posted and /or know how to pray.

Love you.. Stephanie
