What is remission?

To most of us lay people, remission means no more cancer. But, just so you know, that is not always the case with the medical community. In our case, it means that less than five percent of the cells in James' bone marrow are cancer cells.

That will be a happy announcement to make. Especially since just last Wednesday, 90-some percent of James' bone marrow cells were cancer.

However, it doesn't mean the fight is over. Just that the battle is going in our favor!

Hi Steph, Hannah and Sweet baby James.... I've been checking all day for some information on how it went yesterday...James especially was in my thoughts (and arrow prayers)all day yesterday. I was glad to get to the end of your 'report' to hear his bowels are working, he's snuggling and eating and all in all it ended a good day!! Hurts to read about what he has to go through. I can't imagine watching it. Love you, BIG HUGS & SMOOCHES for J. and H. too

P.S. Appreciated your explanation of remission - hadn't thought about it really - just that it's a good thing!!! :*)
